Google’s NotebookLM now offers Video Overviews, transforming dense materials into dynamic visual summaries.
Rolling out from July 29, 2025, NotebookLM users in English can now generate AI-narrated video slides from content such as PDFs, notes, and images. This visual mode builds on NotebookLM’s prior Audio Overviews, presenting clips enriched with graphics, quotes, diagrams, and data extracted from user documents.

Much like audio format, users can tailor the video output specifying what to highlight, selecting learning goals, defining audience level, and more. For instance, a user can request a focus on specific diagrams or ask for a version aimed at experts.

Google also overhauled the Studio panel inside NotebookLM. Now you can save multiple versions of the same type of output (Audio, Video, Reports, Mind Maps) within one notebook.

Four creation tiles at the top let you instantly launch each format with a single click. Additionally, users can multitask such as listening to an Audio Overview while viewing a Mind Map or study guide within the same interface.

Video Overviews and the Studio improvements began rolling out in English immediately, with broader language support arriving soon. The full roll out is expected through early August for eligible Workspace users.
