Lux Capital-backed Cloaked, the consumer-focused privacy app, today rolled out two major new features: Call Guard, an AI-powered caller screening system, and a dark web & SSN monitoring tool to detect personal data leaks.

Call Guard intercepts calls from unknown numbers, letting an AI agent engage callers, assess purpose, and automatically block suspected spam or scam calls.

If the call seems legitimate, it connects through, but a real-time transcript is always visible, so users can intervene if they choose.

This adds another layer of protection alongside Cloaked’s existing masked phone number and call forwarding technology.

According to CEO Arjun Bhatnagar, Call Guard goes beyond just asking callers who they are; it analyzes intent to flag frequent spam types like Medicare or political calls, and even counters emerging threats from malicious AI-generated callers.

The new dark web monitoring feature scans a variety of sources, including data brokers, breach sites, forums like Discord and Telegram, and compromised websites.

It watches for sensitive info names, addresses, SSNs, emails, passports, driver licenses, and alerts users of both recent and historic leaks while guiding remediation.

Cloaked has seen strong momentum: the company added over 100,000 paying customers in 2025 and secured an additional $11 million in funding, bringing total capital raised to nearly $40 million, with plans for a formal funding round before year-end.

Building on these launches, Cloaked is working toward an AI bot outbound calling service such as automating customer support or appointment scheduling, and developing a privacy-focused eSIM offering to enhance user safety further.
