Vivo V60 5G Set to Launch in August with 100× Zoom

The Vivo V60 is shaping up to be an exciting smartphone release set for India in August 2025. Vivo has officially confirmed the upcoming launch via social media teasers, and multiple leaks suggest a debut around August 12, though some sources hint at August 19. Positioned as the successor to the Vivo V50, the V60 is expected to elevate the mid-range experience with camera enhancements, a redesigned aesthetic, and a powerful battery.

The device is tipped to feature a 6.67‑inch flat AMOLED display offering a sharp 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 1,300 nits, promising vivid visuals and smooth scrolling across apps and media. Under the hood lies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, marking a performance leap over the previous generation.

Vivo has designed the V60 to be photo-centric, featuring a triple rear camera setup co-engineered with Zeiss optics. This includes a 50 MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid digital zoom. A 50 MP front-facing camera is also expected, catering to high-resolution selfies and video calls.

Battery life is another standout: the V60 reportedly includes a massive 6,500 mAh cell with support for 90W fast charging, enabling quick top-ups and long-lasting usage. It also carries high durability credentials, with IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and dual stereo speakers for immersive sound. Additionally, features such as an in-display fingerprint sensor contribute to the premium feel.

Color options may include Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue, some with textured finishes, alongside a refreshed pill-shaped camera module and slender profile that reinvents the V‑series design language.

Retail pricing is pegged between ₹37,000 and ₹40,000 (roughly USD 450–480), depending on configuration and region. Final storage variants aren’t confirmed, but leaks mention versions up to 12 GB RAM paired with 256 GB or more internal storage.

With its blend of stellar camera specs, long battery life, modern design, high-refresh AMOLED display, and premium elements such as Zeiss optics and fast charging, the Vivo V60 appears poised to be a compelling choice in the upper mid-range segment. If launched as speculated, it could offer an attractive alternative for users seeking advanced photo capabilities and robust daily performance at a competitive price. Exact launch details and regional availability will be confirmed in early August, as anticipation continues to build.
