CES 2026 Starts With AI-Focused Keynotes From Major Tech Giants

AI and robotics showcase featuring humanoid robots at CES 2026

CES 2026 opened this week in Las Vegas with artificial intelligence and robotics taking center stage as industry leaders outlined how AI is moving from software into physical machines that work alongside humans.

The annual technology show began with AI-focused keynotes from Nvidia, AMD and Intel, all emphasizing what they described as the next phase of AI systems that can sense and interact with the real world. Exhibitors across the show floor highlighted robotics and automation as major growth areas for the coming decade.

One of the most closely watched announcements came from Boston Dynamics owned by Hyundai, which unveiled a next generation electric version of its humanoid robot Atlas. The company said the new model is designed for industrial environments which includes manufacturing and logistics where it can assist with repetitive and physically demanding tasks.

Industrial AI was also a central theme in a keynote by Siemens CEO Roland Busch who highlighted AI-powered digital twins and automation tools aimed at improving efficiency in factories, infrastructure projects, transportation networks and other fields.

At the consumer level home robotics gained renewed attention.

LG showcased its CLOiD household helper robot while companies such as Sony Honda Mobility and Agility Robotics presented humanoid systems designed for everyday environments.

Overall, CES 2026 signaled a clear shift toward practical, physical AI as companies move beyond concepts to real-world deployment.
