Apple set the iPhone 17e price at $599 in the U.S., pitching the model as the lowest-cost entry in the iPhone 17 lineup while raising the base storage to 256GB. The device comes in black, white and soft pink with a matte finish and it is offered in 256GB and 512GB configurations.

Pre-orders start Wednesday, March 4, with orders opening at 6:15 a.m. PST in more than 70 countries and regions. Availability begins Wednesday, March 11.

Key Upgrades Highlighted in The Announcement Include

  • A19 chip built on 3-nanometer technology, plus a 16-core Neural Engine geared for large generative models
  • C1X modem described as faster than C1 and designed to use less energy than the modem in iPhone 16 Pro
  • 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 1200 nits peak HDR brightness and Ceramic Shield 2
  • MagSafe and Qi2 fast wireless charging up to 15W, plus USB-C fast charging to 50% in around 30 minutes (with 20W+ adapter)
  • 48MP Fusion camera with optical-quality 2x Telephoto, 4K Dolby Vision up to 60 fps and satellite features like Emergency SOS and Messages

The announcement also ties the iPhone 17e price to sustainability claims, including recycled materials in the enclosure and battery and fully fiber-based recyclable packaging.
