Nvidia is Going to Add Auto Brightness in G-Sync Pulsar Monitors

Nvidia is going to bring Auto-Brightness to new G-Sync Pulsar Monitors. Nvidia is adding laptop-style auto brightness and color adjustments to gaming monitors with G-Sync Ambient Adaptive Technology, which uses a built-in light sensor to react to changes in room lighting.

The company says the feature improves visibility and comfort across different environments. In bright rooms the monitor raises brightness and shifts to a cooler tone to keep the image clear. In darker spaces it dims the panel and warms the color temperature to reduce glare and help limit eye strain. Users can still adjust the settings manually or turn the feature off through the monitor’s on-screen controls.

Nvidia will launch the first G-Sync Pulsar models on January 7, 2026, starting at $599 through Acer, AOC, Asus, and MSI. Nvidia targets the initial lineup at E-sports players and competitive gamers and it pairs that focus with high-end specifications such as:

  • 27-inch IPS display
  • 1440p resolution
  • Up to 360Hz refresh rate

Nvidia also says Pulsar supports its shift toward integrating G-Sync features through MediaTek scaler partnerships, which can reduce the need for dedicated G-Sync modules.

Nvidia expects more Pulsar models to arrive as additional monitor makers adopt the platform.
