Stardew Valley has unexpectedly launched in a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 edition, with existing Nintendo Switch owners able to upgrade at no extra cost through a free “Upgrade Pack” on the Nintendo eShop, while new buyers can purchase the game for $14.99.

The Switch 2 version adds mouse controls and expands co-op options, supporting up to four players in local split-screen and up to eight players online. It also ties into Nintendo’s “GameShare” feature so one copy can host four-player co-op with friends who don’t own the game, after developer ConcernedApe previously teased the update during a Nintendo Direct in September 2025.
