Thomas Dohmke’s Entire Raises $60M Seed Round to Tackle AI-Driven Code Management

Thomas Dohmke at tech office discussing AI-Driven Code Management strategy

Former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke has launched a new venture, Entire, securing $60 million in seed funding to address the growing complexity of AI-Generated Code Management. Dohmke led GitHub from 2021 until August 2025, when he stepped down to start the new company.

Entire focuses on tools and platforms designed for software development in the era of AI coding agents. By February 10 to 11, 2026, the startup reached a $300 million valuation following a seed round led by Felicis Ventures. Additional participants included M12, Madrona, Basis Set Ventures, Jerry Yang, Olivier Pomel and others.

Building Infrastructure for AI-Generated Code Management

Entire aims to solve challenges created by the scale and speed of code produced by AI systems. Dohmke stated that traditional development structures such as issues, Git repositories and pull requests were not built to handle the volume generated by AI agents.

The company’s first product, Checkpoints, is an open-source command-line tool. It captures context and metadata behind AI-generated code commits, including prompts and reasoning, to improve transparency and collaboration between humans and AI systems.

The launch of Entire and its substantial seed funding underscore a wider shift toward infrastructure that supports AI-Generated Code Management. As AI coding agents increasingly shape engineering workflows, companies are investing in systems that help teams manage and integrate machine-produced code effectively.
