YouTube TV users can now easily view and manage which devices are currently accessing their account, thanks to a convenient new feature rolled out earlier this week. The update is particularly timely, offering peace of mind to subscribers concerned about unauthorized access or curious about who’s streaming on their account.

With over 9.5 million subscribers, YouTube TV offers live broadcast channels like ABC, NBC, CBS, along with on-demand content all under one subscription priced at $82.99 per month. The service allows up to six profiles per account and permits streaming on three devices simultaneously. However, unusual spikes in concurrent viewership can trigger streaming limits, potentially interrupting service for legitimate users.

Furthermore, increased usage from unfamiliar devices especially from unknown locations can raise security alarms for account owners.

YouTube TV has made it straightforward to monitor your account’s connected devices:

  • Click your profile icon within the YouTube TV interface.
  • Open Settings, then select Privacy.
  • Scroll to the Device section and tap Manage Devices.
  • A full list of currently connected devices (including active streams) will appear.

If an unrecognized device appears in your list, follow these security best practices promptly:

  • Sign out of all devices using the “sign out everywhere” option.
  • Change your password to a strong, unique one.
  • Enable two-factor authentication for enhanced security.

This easy-to-access “Manage Devices” tool empowers watchers to stay in control and secure when sharing YouTube TV accounts across friends, family, or multiple devices.
