Sky has announced the launch of Sky Glass Air, a new addition to its television lineup, offering a sleek design, vibrant 4K HDR display, and integrated Sky services all without the need for a satellite dish. Set to be available from June 10, 2025, the Sky Glass Air aims to make premium entertainment more accessible, with pricing starting at just £6 per month.
Sky Glass Air boasts an ultra-vivid 4K HDR display powered by Quantum Dot technology, enhanced with advanced global dimming and contrast optimization to deliver exceptional visual clarity. It includes 2.0 stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, delivering immersive sound. Offered in 43″, 55″, and 65″ sizes and available in Sea Green, Carbon Grey, and Cotton White finishes, it seamlessly complements a wide range of interior styles. With its slim, minimalist design, color-matched remote and stand, and universal wall mount compatibility, the Sky Glass Air is both stylish and practical.
Driven by Sky OS the intuitive platform behind Sky Glass Gen 2 and Sky Stream Sky Glass Air offers a seamless and user-friendly smart TV experience. One of its standout features is hands-free voice control enabled by far-field voice recognition. By simply saying “Hello Sky,” users can turn on the TV, search for content, adjust the volume, and control other functions completely hands-free.
The system also offers personalized content recommendations, intelligently curating movies, shows, and genres based on the user’s viewing habits. Features like personal Playlists and a Continue Watching rail ensure quick and easy access to favorite or recently played content. Additionally, Sky OS integrates content from Sky channels and popular streaming apps into a single, unified interface, making it simple for users to browse and enjoy a wide range of entertainment without switching between platforms.
Sky Glass Air is available to all customers starting from just £6/month for the 43″ model, £10/month for the 55″, and £13/month for the 65″. Two subscription plans are offered: Sky Essential TV at £15/month, which includes over 100 channels along with Netflix and discovery+, and Sky Ultimate TV for an additional £7/month, unlocking extra content such as Sky Max. Customers can choose between a 24-month plan or a 31-day rolling contract for added flexibility.
The introduction of Sky Glass Air represents Sky’s commitment to expanding its product range to cater to a broader audience. By offering a more affordable smart TV option with integrated services, Sky aims to attract customers seeking quality entertainment solutions without the need for additional hardware or satellite installations.
