Amazon Partners With Uber Eats to Offer $0 Delivery Fees for Prime Members

Amazon Partners With Uber Eats to Offer $0 Delivery Fees for Prime Members

Amazon and Uber announced a new restaurant delivery benefit for Amazon Prime members in the United States on November 5, 2026. According to Amazon’s official announcement, eligible members can order from participating Uber Eats restaurants through Amazon with a $0 delivery fee on qualifying orders of $25 or more.

Under the partnership, Prime members can order food directly through Amazon’s website or shopping app. Customers who spend $25 or more on qualifying restaurant orders will receive a $0 delivery fee. The service is powered by Uber Eats, which handles restaurant delivery.

Amazon says the Uber Eats benefit covers hundreds of thousands of restaurants across nearly 10,000 cities and towns in the United States. The service reaches major cities, suburban communities, and some rural areas. It is also available to eligible members using discounted Prime plans, including Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access. Restaurant selection and delivery availability depend on the customer’s location.

To celebrate the November 5 launch, Amazon is offering eligible Prime members $20 off each of their first two qualifying Uber Eats restaurant orders of $25 or more. The introductory discount is available during the first 14 days of the launch promotion. Members should check the current offer details before ordering because promotional benefits are subject to eligibility, availability, and other conditions.

Eligible Prime Visa cardmembers can also earn 5% back on Uber Eats orders through December 5, 2026. This additional benefit gives qualifying cardholders another opportunity to save when ordering food. Customers should review the applicable card and promotion terms before making a purchase.

However, a $0 delivery fee does not mean customers avoid every extra charge. Service fees, applicable taxes, optional tips, and other charges may still apply. To receive the Prime delivery-fee benefit, customers must place an eligible restaurant order of at least $25 through Amazon. The benefit is separate from an Uber One membership, and customers should review the final checkout total before placing an order.

The partnership is another step in Amazon’s efforts to expand beyond traditional online shopping. Amazon already offers entertainment, grocery delivery, cloud services, and digital products. Its growing collection of Amazon Prime membership benefits gives subscribers access to several services through one account. Adding Uber Eats restaurant delivery extends that experience by allowing members to order meals directly through Amazon.

The new arrangement also gives Uber Eats another way to reach customers through Amazon’s popular shopping platform. Uber’s delivery business was already expanding before the partnership. According to Uber’s Q3 2026 financial results, delivery gross bookings increased 22% to approximately $28.54 billion. The Amazon integration could help Uber Eats reach more customers while making restaurant ordering easier for Prime members.

Amazon previously offered restaurant delivery benefits through Grubhub, allowing Prime members to order food through Amazon’s website and shopping app. However, Amazon has ended its earlier Grubhub agreement as it introduces the new Uber Eats partnership. The change marks an important shift in Amazon’s restaurant delivery strategy, with Uber Eats becoming its new delivery partner for this Prime benefit.

Prime members can begin ordering through Amazon’s Uber Eats ordering page or open the Amazon Shopping app and search for “Uber Eats.” After signing in with their existing Amazon account, they can browse nearby participating restaurants, select their meals, review the order total, and complete payment using their saved Amazon payment methods. No separate Uber Eats account or additional app download is required.

After customers place an order, Amazon sends email and push notifications with delivery status updates, while Uber Eats manages the delivery process and provides a final order confirmation. This connection between two major digital platforms aims to make ordering restaurant food feel similar to purchasing other products online.

Amazon estimates that Prime members could potentially save more than $175 per year through waived delivery fees and exclusive Uber Eats promotions. The estimate uses historical ordering data from August 2026 and compares Amazon’s Prime benefits with placing orders directly through Uber Eats without an Uber One membership. Actual savings are not guaranteed and will vary depending on how often customers order, their spending, and the promotions available to them.

The partnership also reflects growing competition in the United States’ online food delivery market. Technology companies are increasingly bringing restaurant discovery and ordering into apps that customers already use. Similar developments can be seen in Google Maps food-ordering features, which aim to help users find meals and build orders within the Maps experience. These changes show how major digital platforms are expanding their everyday services.

The Amazon and Uber Eats partnership brings restaurant delivery into a shopping platform that millions of Americans already use. For Prime members, the main benefits are simpler ordering, $0 delivery fees on qualifying purchases, and access to special promotions. Whether the service offers meaningful savings will depend on restaurant availability, order frequency, and the total charges shown at checkout.
