Anthropic’s Quarterly Revenue Reportedly Jumps Above $11.5 Billion

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind Claude, has reportedly recorded a major jump in quarterly revenue, showing how quickly demand for advanced AI tools is growing.

The company’s preliminary revenue for the second quarter of 2026 reportedly climbed above $11.5 billion. That is a sharp increase from around $4.73 billion in the first quarter of 2026 and about $787 million during the same quarter last year.

This means Anthropic’s quarterly revenue increased more than 14 times compared with the same period a year earlier. The rapid growth highlights the expanding use of generative AI across businesses, software development and other professional workloads.

Anthropic has become one of the biggest competitors in the artificial intelligence market. Its Claude AI models and related tools are increasingly being used for coding, research, writing, data analysis and enterprise automation.

The company also reportedly achieved positive adjusted operating income during the second quarter. This is an important development because AI companies face extremely high expenses for computing infrastructure, powerful processors, data centers, model development and skilled employees.

Strong revenue growth could also strengthen Anthropic’s position as it prepares for a possible public listing. Investors are closely watching the financial performance of major AI companies as spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to rise.

However, the reported second-quarter figures are still preliminary and could change before they are finalized.

Anthropic’s latest numbers show how rapidly the commercial AI market is expanding. If the company continues growing at this pace, competition among Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and other major AI developers could become even stronger as businesses increase their use of AI-powered software.
