Microsoft has announced the first wave of Xbox Game Pass games for October 2026, with Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago, and several other titles joining the subscription service. According to the official Xbox Game Pass October 2026 announcement, the lineup includes games for Xbox consoles, PC, and supported cloud gaming devices, with availability depending on the subscription plan.

The October lineup includes shooting games, story-driven adventures, survival games, and family-friendly titles. Several additions, including Valor Mortis, Deep Dish Dungeon, and Bluey’s Happy Snaps, will be available on Game Pass on their launch day. Eligible subscribers can play these games through their membership without buying them separately, as long as the games remain in the service and their subscription stays active.

Battlefield 6 is one of the biggest games joining Xbox Game Pass on October 13, 2026. The first-person shooter features large multiplayer battles, tactical combat, and environments that players can destroy during matches. Microsoft lists the game for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with support for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud gaming through eligible plans.

Valor Mortis will also join Game Pass on October 13 as a day-one release. Developed by the creators of Ghostrunner, the first-person action game follows a former soldier in Napoleon’s army who returns from the dead. Players must use supernatural abilities, fight dangerous enemies, and uncover a mystery. The game will be available through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Gears of War: E-Day launched on October 6, 2026, as confirmed in Xbox’s early October game release schedule. Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, the game follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the Locust invasion. PC players with compatible graphics cards can also benefit from technology covered in TechBonafide’s report on NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 gaming support.

Three more games joined the service on October 8. Echo Weaver is a puzzle-focused adventure in which players use a time loop to uncover secrets. Forever Ago follows a man named Alfred on an emotional road trip, while Neon Abyss 2 offers fast-paced action in a colorful cyberpunk world. Echo Weaver and Forever Ago arrived as day-one Game Pass releases, while Neon Abyss 2 is also available through Game Pass Premium.

Microsoft’s October update also highlights Minecraft Dungeons II and Shape of Dreams as games already available through Game Pass. Minecraft Dungeons II offers cooperative dungeon exploration, while Shape of Dreams focuses on fast-paced action and challenging battles. Both are available through eligible membership plans, with Shape of Dreams also included in Game Pass Premium.

Deep Dish Dungeon launches on October 13, offering a survival adventure where players explore mysterious dungeons, collect resources, and solve puzzles. The game supports both solo and online cooperative gameplay.

On October 15, Bluey’s Happy Snaps will bring a family-friendly adventure featuring Bluey and Bingo. Players can explore familiar places, take pictures, and enjoy activities designed for younger audiences.

Chained Beasts is also scheduled to arrive on October 15 as a day-one Game Pass release. The game supports up to four players in cooperative arena battles, where teammates are physically connected by chains. Players must work together to defeat enemies and survive difficult challenges.

Beyond These Stars arrives on October 16 as a day-one Game Pass release for PC. In this space-themed city-building game, players build a settlement on the back of a giant space whale, manage resources, and explore the universe. Xbox lists the title for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, with PC availability confirmed for this release.

Most games in this October lineup are listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while Neon Abyss 2 is also included in Game Pass Premium. PC Game Pass provides access to eligible PC games but does not independently include cloud streaming. Players can compare Xbox Game Pass subscription plans to check game availability and features. For more background on supported streaming devices, TechBonafide has also covered Xbox cloud gaming on LG smart TVs.

Several games are also scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on October 15, 2026. Microsoft’s announced removal list includes A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview), Pacific Drive, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone. Subscribers who want to finish these titles should check their availability before the removal date.

Players who want to finish these games should do so before they are removed from the service. Subscribers may also receive discounts on eligible games they want to purchase and keep.

The October lineup combines major games such as Battlefield 6 with smaller titles such as Echo Weaver and Deep Dish Dungeon. Independent games remain an important part of the service, and TechBonafide has previously covered Xbox’s changing approach to independent game discovery. The variety gives subscribers a choice of action, puzzle, adventure, and multiplayer experiences.

Microsoft’s October 7 announcement covers the first wave of Game Pass additions for the month. More updates could follow, but subscribers should use the confirmed October 13โ€“16 schedule when planning what to play next. Players should also remember that the nine announced departing games are scheduled to leave the library on October 15.
